Meet Info
IMX: (IM Xtreme)
Swimmers compete in a series of events assigned by age group. Each event earns a power point score, which is designated by USA swimming to be equivalent across age ranges, events and gender. Example: A 15yr old girl who swims a time earning 300 points in the 200 fly is equivalent to a 12yr old boy who swims a time earning the same points (300) in the 100 back. The higher score would be the better swim even for slower times in younger ages (allowing the entire team to compete against each other).
All scores are averaged for the entire series of events to obtain an IMX score, again, the higher average score would be the winner.
